Theresa Greenfield to run against Ernst

Democrat Theresa Greenfield announced she will run to oust Republican Sen. Joni Ernst.

"I'm a proud farm kid with farm kid values," the Democrat says in a video she released Monday morning. During the video, Greenfield walks through a farm and talks about her family's values of hard work and opportunity.

In the video and a news release, Greenfield begins to show the shape of her case against Ernst.

"Joni Ernst told us she'd be different and said she'd to go to Washington to 'make 'em squeal,' but the special interests and corporate lobbyists keep feasting like hogs at the trough," Greenfield said.

Other than the big screw up by her campaign manager (falsifying names on her petitions) my understanding is that Greenfield is a top candidate.

Don't know much about Eddie Mauro and Kimberly Graham, but have heard much good about Greenfield.

1. Her video announcement is excellent.

Her personal story is compelling. She certainly has the charisma and the drive.

I just want Joni Ernst to get voted out of office. Ernst is a vacuous hack underserving of the office she holds.

2. Ernst is a fully owned subsidiary of Koch Industries and the NRA

3. Yeah, she seems to be the one to beat at this point.

I doubt Eddie will get much traction. I heard him speak once and wasn't overwhelmed. Cindy Axne got over twice as many votes as he did in the '18 primary.

I don't know a lot about Graham yet.
