but this year, with both my sons going to Iowa, was pretty special anyway, and then for the Hawks to have such a great season, capped by going to the Rose Bowl, it just makes me sentimental.

It's great how this has drawn all kinds of Iowans together - how much more will that happen if the Hawks win? So I will echo you, Bluzmann - GO HAWKS!
