“You know, you guys are in the majority,” Franken teased GOP senators as he entered the room.

With a reporting quorum secured, Chairman Charles E. Grassley, R-Iowa, sought to quickly move ahead with the committee’s agenda.

But Franken pressed his point, telling Grassley, “No, I want to say something about this.”

“You know when we were in the majority … we had the responsibility to provide a quorum,” Franken said. “And I thought that you guys, your side, didn’t show up because you just resented being in the minority. But now I know … it’s just sheer laziness.”

4. The smartest choice Hilary could make is Franken for her VP

He's so experienced at media messaging, so skilled at trouncing the RW propagandists, his wit & intelligence so much quicker than any Repug.

Franken offsets many voters objections to Hilary, as he's a real populist with a demonstrable anti corporate fascism and the lies of the Iraq War track record.

He won his reelection by a landslide, the RW/Birch-Koch slush machine was rendered powerless against him. He's that popular.
Nationally always the interview Americans stay tuned to watch and learn...funny, informed, honest. He could really bring vitality to
what appears will be so boring an election, (Clinton vs Bush) where Dems biggest problem is going to be getting Dems to turnout.

There's something very homey, calming, folksy, "Will Rogersy" about Franken too. Definitely "the guy you'd want to have a beer with."
