You used to boil your water after a water main break. No More.

Those were the good old days. Now it causes a different problem.

Officials are recommending bottled water because of the high level of nitrates in the Elliott water supply. Boiling concentrates nitrates in the water, which could cause the water to be unsafe for infants and pregnant women to drink. For more information, call the EPA's water hotline at 1-800-426-4791

Someone needs to market a cheap one to people in these contaminated areas.


Of course, if one lives in an area contaminated by both farming waste and fracking chemicals, purifying water becomes pretty complicated….
