I love Iowa. It has many good progressives and Democrats. The people there are, on the whole, literate and tolerant.

My daughter is a graduate of Iowa State University.

We have farm property there, and my husband's family's roots are there. His family's very historic family cemetery is there. I could live there.

My brother's lived in Iowa for about 30 years, is happy in Fairfield, as he's active in Maharishi community. They live in Fairfield. I find it boring, but that's probably because I spend very short periods of time and don't get involved in the happenings.

I understand that Iowa State's a fine university, and nephew graduated from Grinnell, which calls Harvard the Grinnell of the East! Iowa seems like a well-educated place, tho I've seen a number of Ron Paul lawn signs. Probably because of their excellent organization.

Really do like night-scene in Davenport, tho thunderstorms now, and have to wake EARLY to catch a plane.

And since you were in the Quads (my home) we are inviting you back on June 29, 30, and July 1 for one of the premier Blues Fests in the whole USA in LeClaire Park, right next to the casino and within walking distance of the Blackhawk and Radisson hotels. The lineup is always a stellar one and I have never ever seen any trouble down there in spite of the crowds. Well once when the symphony people were down there. They were kind of pushy. But a good time was and will be had by all. And if you have any small kids, or teens for that matter, they may learn something as well. Heck, you may learn something as well at "Blues Skool". Anyway, we are glad that you were here and hope you can return.

DID enjoy my 20 or so hours there, stayed at Radisson, and before we got there walked into end of Bees v Hawks game at New Woodmen Stadium. Heard a bunch of music in that short time. Liked the multi-generational crowds.

Thanks for the invitation!

First game only though. I was the fat guy with a Cubs hat. Kinda narrows it down? Oh wait, never mind. Any way, this area has a lot to offer, especially in summer. Hope you can make it back sometime.
