Need opinions on cell phone service

Good morning, all. I am a current US Cellular customer whose contract ran out on 3/30. Since the handover to Sprint will start later this month, I am in a bit of a quandary of what to do.

I can go ahead and jump ship to Sprint ahead of time and get it over with or go with another carrier. Or, I can stay on my current plan and wait and see what Sprint will offer USC customers to stay.

I need a family plan with 3 lines, 2 of them smartphones with data plans and unlimited messaging on at least one of the lines. As I am starting a small business soon, I would prefer to get this taken care of, but I want to make sure I get reliable service. That business will use a lot of social media, so a dependable data network is ideal.

I live in the north burbs (near the Great Lakes Naval Station) and sometimes visit family in the Peoria area. There is a slight chance I may move to the Colorado Springs area later this year.

Anybody got some rants and/or raves about their cell service in the Chicago area?

Thanks!

We switched from T-Mobile when husband and son wanted iPhones. AT&T was the only choice at the time, and they are pretty much thieves. The reception is okay, but the bills are incomprehensible (perhaps because it's bundled with our DSL and land line). We were actually pretty happy with T-Mobile, but perhaps they've changed, too.

We live in Chicago, and have a family plan with three iPhones. But we are very infrequent texters and use very little data. We lowered our data plans from the $30/mo. to the $15/mo. and never have gone over.
