Organizing for 2014 Must Begin Now. It appears our FL Dem Party is dragging its feet.

http://thepoliticalhurricane.com/2012/11/26/organizing-for-2014-must-begin-now/

Florida’s Democrats continue in a self congratulatory mode almost three weeks removed from the election. As we’ve stated before, with the Obama wave and redistricting came countless opportunities for the Democrats to pick up marginal legislative seats that they failed to capitalize on. But the Republicans, disappointed by even minimal Democratic gains have already begun recruiting candidates and organizing for 2014. The Democrats? Party elders are taking a go-slow approach. Many want the new FDP Chairman selected in late January, depriving the party an opportunity to begin preparations for the 2014 cycle BEFORE legislative session begins and ceding a several month head start to the GOP. With all of the advantages the Republicans enjoy in state races, the Democrats do not need to continue the cycle of self inflicted wounds that have turned state government into a one party monopoly.

OFA should get most of the credit for delivering the state this year.

Democrats always seem to get hammered in Florida in midterm years.

how inept their party is and demand change.

This guy at TPH knows his stuff. Read through the blog.

He gives credit to the state party when it's due, but he blasts them when it's deserved as well. They are patting themselves on the back for their win this year at the state level when most of their wins were due to Fair Districts. Honestly, they could have done better but they didn't. Let's see what happens in 2014. It's time for the Florida Dems to WAKE THE EFF UP and start acting like a player in a MAJOR state.

Florida is nowhere as red as people think and it's time for our party to start realizing that! Grow a pair and throw your weight around. We don't need the FL DEMS to be Republican Lite!

AS Debbie Wasserman Schulz knew her head was on the block, and they do not want to stir up the radical element, lest they do not swallow the anointing of St. Charlie Crist. They are lucky the GOP ran a complete buffoon like Mack.

All the same, we know the Florida democrats are the best allies the GOP has... Yes Yes, I know, Marco Rubio won because people like me thought we could vote for Ken meek, yeah yeah yeah.. I would vote for a reanimated corpse before failing to vote against Rick Scott. However, we dodged a bullet, and that is no cause for celebrating this late in the game. There does need to be changes in the way this party works...no, I do not mean revolution, all that does is make pretty press releases while a new crop of scum becomes the next in line, I mean we need to promote progressives, and make it clear that progressives will get our pennies.
