Sarasota attorney who worked with Roy Moore: 'Common knowledge' he liked teens
Sarasota lawyer Teresa D. Jones once worked in the same Alabama district attorneys office as U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore, and in multiple comments posted online someone who appears to be Jones says it was well known that Moore pursued teenage girls during his time as a prosecutor.
Moore has come under fire after five women said he pursued relationships with them when he was in his early 30s and they were teenagers. One of the women told the Washington Post that Moore initiated sexual contact with her when she was 14, and another said during a press conference Monday that Moore groped and assaulted her when she was 16.
Teresa D. Jones joined the Syprett, Meshad, Resnick, Lieb, Dumbaugh, Jones, Krotec & Westheimer, P.A. law firm in 1986. An Alabama native, she worked as an attorney in Gadsden from 1978 to 1985, including as a deputy district attorney for Etowah County between 1982 and 1985, according to her firms website. Moore worked in the same district attorneys office from 1977 to 1982.
As a Deputy DA in Gadsden when Roy Moore was there, it was common knowledge about Roys propensity for teenage girls, a Twitter user named Teresa Jones tweeted last week. Im appalled that these women are being skewered for the truth.
