One debate set, possibly more in Florida U.S. Senate race
The day after the Rubio and Murphy campaigns tussled over how many U.S. Senate debates will be held, at least one debate is now set and another is possible.
Leadership Florida and the Florida Press Association announced Thursday that Republican U.S. Sen. Rubio and Democratic U.S. Rep. Murphy, D-Jupiter, will meet in a one-hour debate on Oct. 26 at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale.
The debate will be simulcast on Florida Public Radio and broadcast throughout the state.
The Tampa Bay Times also reported that Rubio accepted an invite for a debate, possibly in early October.
