Angela Corey's office must pay $26,000 in records flap, judge says

ACKSONVILLE — The State Attorney's Office serving Florida's Fourth Judicial Circuit has been ordered to pay about $26,000 in attorney's fees and court costs after failing to provide public records to a citizen in a reasonable amount of time..

Circuit Judge James Daniel issued the ruling Wednesday in Jacksonville.

The Florida Times-Union (http://bit.ly/19bynNv ) reports Curt Lee sued State Attorney Angela Corey in 2012 after he didn't receive records related to an investigation of Jacksonville's police and fire pension fund.

A judge agreed with Lee in August and ordered the office to provide the records.
