(2,101 posts)The Motorist Policy I feel was a good one - too bad they didn't tell us, and won't until pulled over for not knowing.
Here are a few examples of failure on their part and show why we need to keep voters here informed:
Historic Sites - why telling the public what monuments are displayed, and when found offensive, the ability to appeal the decision doesn't exist. No surprise here.
Social Media - what business is it of any employer or potential employer to require access to my social media accounts? No surprise here.
Lifeguards - especially frustrating considering that claims against the state were disallowed in other cases, so let's not ensure public safety at public swim areas on holidays and peak use periods. No surprise here.
Kid Care - fighting against Medicare expansion wasn't bad enough, but refusing to subsidize the health care of lawful immigrants for 5 years?
Speed Limits - let's get a bit more carbon in the air, yes???
It's too bad that so few give a damn. Around here people vote based on the title of the proposal and what the first sentence says. Any attempt to explain it is futile.
Thanks again for the post.

(15,435 posts)and got a synopsis myself. Didn't hear all of everything, but did hear some praise from I think the Democratic Minority Speaker praising the current (R) Speaker. Taking care of my husband who's recovering from injuries sustained when he was hit by a go-cart going about 30 mph. I've managed to to get him interested in politics a lot, but NBA play-offs are on and he's hogging the main TV in our house. I can usually listen and do my housework, etc. most of the time, but on back burner for now.
Thanks again.
