My day at the Tidal Basin.

LOTS of wind, so more petals IN Tidal Basin than on trees.

Spent petals

Across the way. Paddle boats out of commission due to wind.

The cool part is that every time I've been out in a paddle boat there, the president's helicopters have come overhead. Yes, there are two of them.

NOT feeling springlike here now! Raining, low of 31 forecast, saw a forecast with possibility of 'snow showers' earlier!

YESTERDAY was springlike!

High in DC Sunday was 84, which was one of the reasons I didn't go to Tidal Basin: I don't like to sweat! and wanted to avoid weekend crowds. I succeeded in avoiding both, high yesterday was 78, but I also missed peak bloom. MAY go anyway, next year!
