Just want to take the chance to say that regardless of what happens tonight, what an incredible @Nationals season it's been. From 19-31 on Memorial Day weekend to Game 7 of the World Series, I've never had more fun following a team. Thanks for an incredible ride. #STAYINTHEFIGHT

(33,643 posts)The WC game, the Dodgers series, the sweep of the Cards ... I said before the Cards series they felt like a team of destiny to me based on what had happened before.
I am definitely rooting for them ... esp. after their fans boo'd Cheeto.
GO NATS!!!
I was kinda mad that they swept my Tribe at the end of the season, but they have really showed me something in the postseason, beating both Verlander and Cole. Since they seem to have gotten shafted by the umps more than once, and since as you said, mr_l since their fans booed the Orange POS I will be rooting for them to win it all tonight. Go Nats!

Makes it easy for me to root against the Astros to begin with ...
No offense to Texans on DU ... this hate goes back to the days of Enron and the recall of Grey Davis ... it's just of the STATE, not all the people.

(31,999 posts)(well, Plano, actually). and they are Democrats... but I hear what you are saying, the Enron thing didnt do much to endear us to the state, here, either, since my husbands teacher pension had investments through Enron and took a big hit.

I *was* enjoying the game until Fox put that puke worthy pro-trump ad on which made me want to scream.
Seems like the Nats hit every ball right at someone and the Strohs balls fall in....
