A coating to an inch is most likely, with a little more northwest and less southeast of Washington

440p: Radar shows snow now advancing east of Interstate 81. Will move into our western areas over next hour or so. Temps still above freezing so snow will initially melt on pavement but slick spots possible with time.

Yesterday our forecast, in mid-Michigan, was for 8-15" of snow by next Thursday. Today it's changed to 1-3" by Tuesday. And our heaviest snowfall, so far, has been around 2", as I recall, back in November. Sunday night will be our first sub-zero temps, so far, this year. VERY different from what we've been experiencing since 2013.

Not that I'm complaining. I love Michigan's weather, 3 seasons out of 4. This year that's expanded by 1/2 a season (so far).

These weather people seem to have too much time on their hands.

When I got off at Braddock Road maybe a half-hour later, there were flurries. I went to bed early, so if it got anywhere beyond flurries, I wouldn't have noticed.

it's wet enough that it's basically rain and melts when it hits the ground or any people. Or at least that's how it is in the district, might be colder out in the suburbs.

We got a dusting last night that is sitting on the ice that covers most of my yard, but no real snow to speak of. Definitely a strange winter. We haven't been below zero yet, but have a couple chances in the next days. Forecast lows of 1 degree.
