The weirdest alcohol laws in California

http://blog.sfgate.com/stew/2015/02/22/the-weirdest-alcohol-laws-in-california/

As anyone who’s lived in other parts of the country will tell you, California’s practically heaven when it comes to alcohol. It’s everywhere! In mini marts, in grocery stores and sold at nearly all hours, plus Sundays. When it comes to the debaucherous West, that freewheeling stereotype holds up. We may not have drive-through daiquiri stores (hello Louisiana), but we have most everything else.

Like any state, though, California has its share of weird laws on the books. Most of California’s alcohol oddity derives from trying to curb DUIs and an obsession with proper labeling.

If you’re curious about other states, check out this article about Texas’ weirdest alcohol laws. There are a lot more, and they’ll make you thankful you don’t live in the Lone Star State.

Any establishment that sells alcohol may not employ anyone who is wearing clothes that expose the "cleft of the buttocks," "any portion of pubic hair" or "any portion of the female breast below the top of the areola."

employees, and the bar staff/servers etc are more fully dressed. (From what I've heard.)

sounds like a solid topic for a research project though - DU Meetup at the Spearmint Rhino?

And with all that freedom to purchase liquor, wine or beer...I get about one six-pack a year and maybe a bottle of Two Buck Chuck.

However...I might have to break down and buy some wine that I was recently introduced to...Layer Cake Cabernet...I like it!
