Winter heat wave smacks Bay Area

It’s just your basic mid-February beach weather.

Near-record temperatures are expected across the Bay Area on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the coast likely to host the hottest spots, according to the National Weather Service.

Pebble Beach and Santa Cruz could see 80 degrees over the next few days, while Half Moon Bay could hit the mid- to upper 70s, said weather service forecaster Steve Anderson.

San Jose and Oakland are expected to hover in the mid-70s, and San Francisco is likely to be just a few degrees cooler.

We have had high surf advisories all week and the surfers have been out in droves.
Monday is a holiday so I expect a lot if folks from inland to be here over the week end. It is going to be a great beach weekend.
Surf's Up!

We're expecting a high of 12 on Sunday with possible 45 mile an hour winds. New England will have it even worse, as well as the potential for another foot of snow.

The same ridge that keeps you warm is putting us in the deep freeze.

Maybe we will get more this month. I heard some guy talking about, WITH all of this heat its "Earthquake" weather. I wanted to laugh at his ignorance..there is no such thing... But some people got it in their heads that warm weather cause Earthquakes, if that were true.. Mexico would have major earthquakes every day.
