Once again Fresno City leaders up to shenanigans, I had the following message on my facebook,
Basically I'm just asking people to call City Hall and tell them that it is wrong to limit public input to City issues.

Fresno City Council President:
Steve Brandau, Councilmember
2600 Fresno St.
Room 2097
Fresno, CA 93721
(559) 621-8000

This announcement was just released by the City Clerk’s office at 2:23 p.m. today (Tuesday, June 10).

The “final agenda” for City Council meetings are normally released to the media and other interested people a week before the next meeting.
The final agenda for the 6-12-14 meeting was sent on 6-6-14.
Interesting how when they proposed to *limit* the peoples voice, they give us less than 2 days notice.
This is an outrage.
If they can get away with this, it will make it easier (for them) to get away with privatizing the municipal water system and doubling the cost of water - both things they currently have up their sleeves.

see the notice below

I would like to propose the Residents demand that City Council Members AND the Mayor be required to respond to every written request submitted at Council Meetings WITHIN 10 DAYS... none of this IGNORING the Residents or giving this "mumbo jumbo" about 'privileged' government information;

Furthermore, I would like to propose that the City Council be required to LIST all 'Freedom of Information' document requests, their status, and WHY they refuse to provide this documentation (in violation of all codes). Oh wait.... they are exempted from everything?... because the Mayor said so?

It would be helpful if someone contacted all of the City Council members, saying that we are concerned about this issue and want to know how they are going to vote.
