Hollywood Bowl.....HELP!!!

I'm going to the System Of A Down show 7/29, and I've been wracking my brain, but even if I've been to the Hollywood Bowl before (and I can't prove that I have...the 80s are such a haze), it hasn't been this century, so I have no experience with the parking and the shuttles and whatever else is involved.

Can one of you Bowl veteranos walk me through it, please?

I figure I better get my shit together now, because last minute is fail.

I appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks.

I think some guy on the bus told me to go to Lakewood and do the Park & Ride thing.

But after the show, how many trains are headed back to the Lakewood Station?

2? 1?

I'd sure hate to miss that (and at 51 yrs old I'm not as strong a runner as I used to be back in my Us Festival Days, know'm say'n?)

I take it from the valley, and there are a slew of buses, but all generally departing 15 - 30 minutes after showtime.

Assume it's probably the same for the other buses.

see the shows. I would suggest binoculars though depending on how far back your seat is.

...and about halfway between the centerline and the right edge.

With no album since Hypnotize/Mesmerize, an SOAD show is pretty much just a big singalong these days, and I've seen them enough to where I don't need to be up front anymore.

I agree with the other poster that it's best to park in Hollywood and take the shuttle or walk to the bowl. Fighting for parking isn't worth it.

And would be about a 20 minute walk to the Hollywood Bowl....I've parked couple times at Hollywood/Highland to do the Hollywood Sign Hike - that's definitely the scenic route, but the parking at the Hollywood Sign trail (on Beechwood) is extremely limited and very narrow...

If you didn't want to walk from Hollywood/Highland to Hollywood Bowl, could catch cab at the Loews Hotel, which is right at the entrance to the parking garage...

That way I don't get parked in and it's easier to drive out of the area.
Have fun!
