Nevada woman facing charges in bomb scare hoax at Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — A preliminary hearing is scheduled in California next week to determine whether a 21-year-old Nevada woman should stand trial on charges stemming from a bomb scare hoax that forced the evacuation of a state park at Lake Tahoe last month.

The Tahoe Daily Tribune reports Alana Blakemore of Gardnerville is to appear in El Dorado County Superior Court Aug. 12 on a felony charge of resisting an executive officer and misdemeanor resisting arrest.

Her alleged accomplice, 24-year-old Hobie Gregory, is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 20 on misdemeanor resisting arrest.

Authorities say Blakemore threatened to detonate explosives at the state park at Emerald Bay on Tahoe's southwest shore on July 26 after leading police on a chase on State Highway 89.

This clusterfuck affected more than just the state park area, but half the actual area in city limits had to lock down (from the grocery store to the bank, the pet store, etc) ALL law enforcement personnell were on this, county sherrifs, city police and CHP...

This was the day of my major accident, (4:25pm) and there were no police or chp onsite, and three different fire agencies had to cover the trauma and transport. The CHP didn't track me down for a statement until 9:30 that night. (It was a doozy too, the other driver had to be intubated onsite and cut from the vehicle...I am lucky to be bruised but alive)

My point is, that woman's BS drained precious resources from our public needs. She should be held accountable.
