Anthem just dumped all individual ACA plans in L.A.

and the rest of CA except for 3 Northern counties. I am so pissed off, had excellent insurance now likely back to 6500 deductible for same amount or more!

republican congress, it is no surprise something like this would happen.

Actually, Blue Cross Blue Shield warned Congress a few days ago to stop this garbage because the markets would be destabilized

7. I saw that on PBS news tonight in the same story

that said the state is suing the fake prez if he doesn't continue with subsidies. I have Covered CA with subsidies and Healthnet dropped me two years ago. Now I have regular Blue Shield because it still accepts them but the monthly bill is $200 more. My monthly bill for myself is almost $500 (with subsidies). 25% of my disability income since I'm too sick to work as a teacher anymore. We are lucky that our Governor is a dem and is willing to sue the Fed govt. I just got off the phone with a statewide call from Progressive Turnout Project and we discussed this as well as other issues to flip the house, research, phone banking, messaging, etc. to get more people involved during Summer Recess. The woman who held the call helped craft the ACA and this is their focus for now.

9. I just read a new post on DU about the many states that are suing him and may stop him.

Perhaps things will change before we end up with whatever the health insur companies decide to offer us this year. This is no way to live...your health is a mere whim of some greedy politician. This is a screwed up country in many ways. Sick people are sick...they can't shop around for insurance, be on the phone for hours asking insurance policy questions, ask relatives for help even though they don't mind.. They just want to rest and hopefully feel better. I live alone and it sucks and makes me feel even worse if that's possible.
