Related: About this forumFormer Sheriff Joe Arpaio 'strongly considering' Senate run
Controversial former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio is "strongly considering" mounting a bid for the U.S. Senate in 2018, he told ABC News Thursday.
Arpaio, 85, was pardoned by President Donald Trump in August after being found guilty in July on criminal contempt charges stemming from his refusal to stop imprisoning suspected undocumented immigrants.
The former sheriff of Maricopa County said he has not spoken with the president about his thoughts of running for the Senate, but added, "if I run, I'm running for him."

He must compete with the likes of other nutters in his party for the nomination. He has earned the rump seal of approval.

as the Repugs can dig up. It's just too bad for them that Charles Manson just passed away. He would have been a great Repug Senator. (sarcasm)

The Repugs have set an incredibly low bar with their support of Roy Moore.

He was able to get elected in Maricopa County as sheriff, but never in a statewide election. He'd never make it past the primary. He's done.

a piss boy. He could apply for that. (Thanks Mel Brooks)

not only the weather and the art work - but the fact, arpaio and his band of merry (not) deputy dawgs weren't there for arpaio's yearly signature tour....(arpaio doesn't deserve a cap on his name)..
