Arizona now has HB2625, allows ANY EMPLOYER to deny contraception coverage

based on "moral objections". You don't even have to be a Christian or even a theist - any employer can claim the exemption.

Last month Arizona brought Scott Walker in and they crafted an anti-union bill that was worse than Wisconsin's. Little to no news on TV; nothing on DU.

It seems like the Republican strategy is just to push as many crazy bills as possible all the time and whatever gets thru is "progress".

The Arizona (and I suspect other states and issues) instance is part of a huge, decentralized bottom up strategy; when Republicans have control of the Executive, they will also engage in top down maneuvers just like this. It's like they are a swarm of bees - any one could be easily swatted, but they mass and attack so there are too many things going on at once to give due attention to any single instance.

of their income to causes which support that belief.
If they had to put up 10% out of pocket, there would be a lot fewer that could prove their belief

they should not be allowed to deny coverage.

The bigger issue is these state laws crafted directly to challenge anything Obama does and/or to advance the conservative agenda.

They seem to be trying to do as much damage as they can while in office, knowing if they don't get back in, it will take years for the Dems to correct. Then they will blame the Dems for it all anyway. Just like they have been doing to Obama.
What I don't understand is why people and organizations don't start dragging these asshole fascists into the courts, making it costly and hard for every underhanded thing they do? If they can't be stopped, then make them pay dearly for every fucking inch they gain.
We really need to fight this using a war type strategy.
