Better Things / FX

Normally I wouldn't touch a "single mom with three daughters sitcom" with a ten foot pole (it just sounds so expected and banal) ...

But the first several episodes of Better Things is surprisingly different ... and good. This is out-of-the box thinking and writing from creators Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K. The writing is authentic -- fun, but not forced or over-the-top. I recommend giving it a try.

FX has already renewed it for a second season.

makes for some incredible writing between the two of them. You're right. It's authentic. And laugh-out-loud, genuinely funny.
