Related: About this forumI just watched Mr. Robot on Amazon
I watched all of the first season in 2 or 3 days. Boy is that a good show. Season 2 will start airing on USA network in a couple of weeks. Has anyone seen the show?

(58,911 posts)I had to get over a bit of my reflexive distaste for some of the language that came from my views of the primary, but I put that aside to focus on the story. Was that what bothered you?

(102,292 posts)I'm not sure why I couldn't get into it as the subject matter is interesting to me and I liked the lead actor ok...
I've thought I should try again, but frankly shows that don't hook me after the second or third episode are usually just a lost cause to me.

I watched it week by week when it came out on cable. Very interesting and edgy.

(53,035 posts)He's very good in the role. The family plot was a total shocker.
He was born and raised in LA.

(16,104 posts)REMINDER: It is a fictional television show!
It's probably a commentary on the 'inner workings' of the hacker/activist mind as much as it is a commentary on society. Cuts both ways!

The murderous sociopath with the pregnant sociopath wife is a hot mess, too.

(31,828 posts)Outlander ends next weekend and I'm getting bored with Modern Family reruns. We have the last season of The Killing queued and the Jane Fonda show too.

(11,257 posts)A very anti-establishment show.
I thought the very first scene of the show had a great way to hook you in. I was immediately hooked.
I also loved how he handled his psychologist. I love when she asks what is bothering him and in his mind he goes on a very angry, but cogent tirade...until she interrupts him and reminds him he isn't saying anything!
Show is great.
It may help me enjoy the show since, while I am not a "true" programmer, there is some pretty legitimate scenes showing use of Linux and other things only nerds know about! Good consulting for the show.
