Press Release: CBS’s “The Late Show w/ Stephen Colbert” Announces Lineup Of Guests For Premiere Week

Colbert’s First Show to Feature Academy Award Winner George Clooney and
Republican Presidential Candidate Jeb Bush, Tuesday, Sept. 8

Additional Premiere Week Guests Include
Scarlett Johansson, Amy Schumer and Stephen King

Musical Performances Include Jon Batiste and Stay Human with Special Guests,
Kendrick Lamar, Toby Keith and Troubled Waters

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT premieres with a week full of guests who span the worlds of film, politics, business and music beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Guests appearing on Sept. 8 are Academy Award winner George Clooney, Republican Presidential candidate and former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush and a musical performance by THE LATE SHOW’s bandleader Jon Batiste with his band Stay Human and special guests.

During THE LATE SHOW’s inaugural week, Colbert will also welcome Scarlett Johansson, Amy Schumer, Stephen King, Tesla Motors and Space X CEO Elon Musk and Uber CEO Travis Kalanick. In addition, the show will feature musical performances by GRAMMY® Award-winning artists Kendrick Lamar and Toby Keith, as well as Troubled Waters.

Below is the lineup of guests on THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT, Tuesday, Sept. 8-Friday, Sept. 11:

Tuesday, Sept. 8 Actor George Clooney; Republican Presidential candidate Jeb Bush; musical performance by Jon Batiste and Stay Human with special guests (n)

Wednesday, Sept. 9 Actress Scarlett Johansson; SpaceX and Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk; interview with and musical performance by Kendrick Lamar (n)

Thursday, Sept. 10 Uber CEO Travis Kalanick; musical performance by Toby Keith (n)

Friday, Sept. 11 Comedian Amy Schumer; author Stephen King; interview with and musical performance by Troubled Waters (n)

If it were Donald Trump, I would definitely NOT be watching. His voice grates on my nerves *almost* as much as Sarah Palin's. But... I'm interested to see what Colbert will do with this, and it's Jeb, not Trump, so I think I'll be checking it out. Clooney is definitely an added bonus, too!
