Reflecting back on The Good Wife, early in the season,

Right after Alicia decides to run for State Attorney, she finds out her son got his girlfriend pregnant and helped her have an abortion. She was understandably surprised and disturbed that it happened and that she knew nothing about it.

But when asked her position on it, she adamantly claimed that she would have insisted that the young woman (teen) have the baby. She said they had the financial resources to do this.

But she never said Anything about having that discussion with the girl and deferring to her wishes, her choice. Maybe she wanted to go to college vs becoming a mother. And having a baby isn't just about having the money. It's about devoting the time needed to raise a child. I seriously doubt Alicia would always "be there" as the supportive grandmother if the two parents were in the middle of exams, not if she has a big day in court scheduled.

Anyone bothered by her comments on her son's girlfriend's pregnancy?

But I t hink she made that remark about she would have insisted to save the baby for
political reasons.

I think she really was ok with the abortion, but didn't want that attitude out in the press.
