"Undercover Boss"

I never watched this show before tonight. I had to watch because the boss was the mayor of Pittsburgh. It was really a nice show. I loved how he made the city employees' dreams happen at the end.

The city looked beautiful and the people were all such hard workers.

to sneer at it. Sometimes it is a big commercial for their companies, and a way to make CEOs look good.

I agree that last night was good.

"I loved how he made the city employees' dreams happen at the end."

Think about it. You have 500 employees. One of them catches the boss' eye and gets rewarded with $220,000 to buy a house because they are living in a cramped one bedroom apartment. Immediately you have about 499 pissed off employees who say, "Hey what about me? I work my ass off for you and my place is no palace either. Where's my new house?"

I can think of few faster ways to demoralize your workforce and drive your company out of business.

Mayor Peduto has to account for the money, who donated it, and if they received anything from the mayor or the city in return.

I didn't hear anything about other employees being "demoralized", but there are always complainers. Human nature.

I looked at it more like a game show, where there were winners. There was a fourth "contestant" who didn't make the cut. I never did hear who that person was or what his or her reaction was. It was entertainment, not a merit-based bonus system.

About their employees....they try to seem sympathetic, but it seem so phony to me. JMHO. Don't like the show at all, won't watch again.

I wouldn't watch it again either. Not a reality-show fan.
