Äkta människor (Real Humans) - Season 1 - Review (minor spoilers)

I managed to get my hands on a copy of season 1 with English subtitles and wow... This is some really good stuff. A Swedish drama that seems to take place in current time but there has come into being, a new product. Human appearing robots that do everything from repetitive labor, to manual labor, to house servants, to sex partners. Some people accept them as the newest technology to make life easier... Some hate them for their de-humanizing effect on society... Some want to liberate them from their slavery (they can be made sentient through home-brew software that is available).

This, is real sci-fi TV told from multiple view points and done in a very dramatic way. I'm not familiar with any of the actors prior to this show but at their worst, they do a better job then most of whats seen on American TV. Productions values and cinematography are a bit above average and more then adequate for the story. The writing is the real showcase here... A true step above almost anything else I've seen on TV and well worth your time to find this and watch.

I saw something the other day about this being re-made for Xboxone's TV service but do yourself a favor and watch the original.
