Kelsey Grammer's show 'Boss' canceled
Boss, the political drama starring Kelsey Grammer as mayor of Chicago, is coming to an end, Deadline reports:
After much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to not proceed with (a third season of) Boss, said Starz in a statement Tuesday. We remain proud of this award-winning show, its exceptional cast and writers, and are grateful to Kelsey Grammer, Farhad Safinia and our partners at Lionsgate TV.
While the show has been canceled, producers are considering a two-hour movie to end the storyline, according to Deadline.
Grammer won a Golden Globe for Boss but didnt get an Emmy. Asked recently about the snub, he said his personal politics may have been the reason. Grammer is one of a few outspoken Republicans in Hollywood.

Sometimes it really makes me angry & sad, especially when it's a new show and they don't give it a chance.

(102,283 posts)It was a pretty compelling premise--and well-acted (Grammer and his RW ideology, aside, he is a good actor)
