If Pres. Obama wins re-election on Tuesday, we will, for the first time in 20 years, sign up for TV.
Can folks give input on which way to go? These corporations are so pushy and slimy to deal with. Any tips on how to deal with them?
We primarily want PBS, MSNBC, Discovery, NatGeo.
Thanks for your help!

(417 posts)and MSNBC and Current are premium channels... I'm not sure about Direct TV. I have to pay about $ 60.00 a month to get them. I'm not real happy about having to pay so much when I actually watch only about a dozen channels but without those 2 channels, as far as I'm concerned, there is no TV..

(7,206 posts)I believe that to get MSNBC, you have to get one of the premium packages. What I especially like about DirecTV is that they show an additional 5 channels of coverage of all the tennis slam tournaments. Of course, service is a little dicey during really, really bad rain storms (but I live in So Calif so that's rarely a problem). Hope that helps.

(21,163 posts)Rupert Murdoch owns part of Direct so there is no way I am giving him my money. I have Direct in my office where I work and Dish definitely is more user friendly and easier to read onscreen menu and guide.

(24,736 posts)We haven't had TV in 20 years. Big step (not entirely certain if we want to go there). Have zero experience with the world of sat TV!
