Curb Your Enthusiasm gave out a real working phone number,

instead of the usual 555-. I googled it and it's a Home Depot in Atlanta, where last night's episode was set. It's a clever plot assist, but I wonder how many hang-up calls they're getting.

I assumed they'd either do a jump cut after the area code was mentioned or they'd rattle off a 555 number like you suggested.

It was fortunate that Larry kept that number or he never would have been able to replace that lawn jockey. Funny ep.

but even when they go for the obvious joke it's always great to see Larry's expression in the moment. And there sat Jeff eating his ribs without a care in the world, just happy to be out of the house and away from Susie for a while

I find him so funny. CYT has had some of the funniest storyline over the years. Nothing is sacred or off-limits! My wife sees nothing funny about him, so I have to watch it by myself.

I'm about to watch the new episode.

I asked her to watch an ep with me some years ago and she didn't even chuckle once. I've always kind of wondered if the show is perceived as more of a "guy thing." I know I know, there are no absolutes when it comes to the sexes, but from what I've heard and read over the years, it seems like a show that skews toward mostly male viewership. But, maybe I'm wrong about that.

I have gone directly to some of the most funny scenes—ones that had me nearly rolling in the floor—and I look at her for reaction. Nothing.

For example, last season when Susie “flopped” on the white couch causing Larry to spill his red wine. It nearly killed me. Then when I thought it couldn’t be any more funny, Larry walks into the sliding glass door because he couldn’t see it. Oh my gosh! Two minutes of the most hilarious tv I’ve ever seen.

It made me feel like Seinfeld when he was dating the woman who never laughed!
