Is Doc Martin a mystery?

It seems like a comedy, but its on Ovation. Am I missing something? I've been watching a few episodes. Should I stick with it?

Is how Doctor ELLINGHAM puts up with the rubes who occupy Portwenn.

Sometimes it's EXASTPERATING!!!

But that's part of the charm of the series. Enjoy, it's a great show.

4. I love Doc Martin.

It can be funny because he is so socially awkward. It can also be very serious as he investigates what is making someone sick or figuring out a situation. The cast is wonderful. I watched every single episode of all 10 Seasons, a lot of them twice.
I think it is one of the best TV series ever made.
So yes, keep watching.

Martin has Asperger's Syndrome and lacks social skills and empathy, but he is a brilliant physician with very high professional standards. He is 100% dedicated to his craft, more so than to his patients per se, for whom he nevertheless goes the extra mile. Despite his personality quirks, his impact on the community is a very positive one. A very enigmatic and compelling character.

Doc Martin is the reason I subscribed to Acorn as some of the later series could only be found there. I watch anything with Martin Clunes.


But if your wanting a Mystery try watching Midsomer Murders. So good!!

17. Doc Martin is a real favorite of mine even though I

usually don't like his kind of character and I am really not a fan of British humor. The scenery is beautiful and I like most of the characters and their town. Kind of like a blend of comedy and mystery though. It is a mystery about who is ill and how they will fare, will they take the cure? etc?
