I suspected as much. I bet we get a couple of appearances next season. Who knows.
I will be sorry to see her go if this is true.

(3,269 posts)I wouldn't be a bit surprised. Given the uncertainty during the last off-season, any actor would be wise to consider their options.
If she's gone then I hope she returns for guest appearances. I'm very interested in seeing where the Peggy story line goes.

(4,851 posts)AMC and Weiner agreed on a structure for the next 2 seasons, so that should not repeat itself, but with it being Hollywood anything can happen.
I am sure she will be back in some form, but I was hoping as a regular again. Maybe they will explain it this weekend.

(15,659 posts)In the season finale, my husband observed how much alike she and Don are. I think she'll continue to turn up at crucial moments for Don. Sort of like that creepy kid.

Speaking of pure and impure, what about his reaction to Joan's getting a partnership through prostitution? What an interesting parallel - single mother with an infant son.

(23,796 posts)And that finale could serve as a series finale, by the way. I hope not. Don Draper needs to deal with a lot more, I think. And I think the series needs to get to the Apollo missions in time at the very least.
But I could see Peggy just being a Betty Francis-level character now.
