Our PBS station is asking for money and their thank you gift this hour and a half of requesting

to become members are the Carpenters CD’s and coffee cup. I loved Karen Carpenter’s voice, so pure , so angelic, so innocent. I have all the CD’s of the Carpenters......won’t be buying this membership.....I am crying at how much I miss them, her especially.

Light some candles, open a bottle of wine, and listen to the Carpenters in my 1957 VOM tube hi fi stereo.

It sounded so lifelike, it was like she was in the room.

Beautiful.

It's just such a waste that she died so young. I would have loved to have heard her break away from Richard's rather lush, overblown arrangements and try some other material (nothing really wrong with his arrangements, but I'd like to hear her without them).

Tey conducted the great purge and started carrying the gop's water. They outright fired reporters who wouldn't follow the new corporate messaging. They went from center liberal to right/conservative in a year.

And they have continued to move right ever since.

So all they have left are rich white seniors with memories of the 60's and 70's.

Beyond sad......

Carpenters........whew, got ya. Have not given to PBS for a long, long, time.....although our local Wisconsin public shows are really good. But, I still haven’t been a member for years.

All part of the right wing now. Sure, some of the shows are entertaining, but the news is very slanted. Beyond sad.

The carpenters are still very good. They haven't really changed afaik.
