Watching CNN's The 2000s with the theme

"Obama's Presidential Campaign and Election" is making me very, very depressed. It is also interesting looking back knowing what we know about the GOP now. Their racism, misogyny and hatred is so much more obvious than it seemed at the time, at least it is to me. It is also apparent that it has multiplied enormously since 2016.

And that is where the never trumpers want their party to return to. Not good enough. Going back to a nod and a wink to that behavior is no better than the openness now.
