Just set the sleep timer for 15 minutes and off to sleep. Works almost every night.

Very stilted, and he always seems determined to rein in an interview just so that he can ask his designated questions. It makes for extremely awkward transitions. That would be fine if he was interviewing someone who was evading his questions, but these are mostly entertainers and it would be better to just go with the flow.
Someone who I loved to watch was Craig Ferguson. He would literally throw his interview cards away from the desk and go with whatever his guest wanted to talk about. He was almost always really entertaining.
