I have some really nice shots of some Canada geese and other ducks that I took on Wednesday, also, which I'll probably post after I finish editing my state fair pictures.

We always walk along this portion of the Coastal Trail on the days when our dog is at the groomers so we don't have her along to disturb the wildlife. Our usual three-mile round trip walk is in the wooded part of the trail where we see the moose who completely ignore the puppy. Since they outweigh her by about 10 times, she's no threat.

I'm from Michigan and we didn't start to get cranes migrating through our area until ten years ago or so, now they are pretty common here.

Here some of my favorite Sandhill shots, they are magnificent birds!
