The heat pump for the apartment is out there, and boy does it blow hot air when it's on!

(14,559 posts)I think I'll put some Lantana in the back yard. It dies back to the roots in winter but comes back every spring. Butterflies love it.

(31,402 posts)it gets until around noon in the summer. It gets very hot out there--into the 90's-- much of July and August. Had lantana out there last year and it did well all through the summer.

(6,611 posts)And the first Lantana photo - it looks surreal, like one of the alien plants in the Avatar movie, you know what I mean? I never saw one before - very unique.
