Love the dwelling on top of the hill, and the bridge! I wonder how old these structures are.
And the water flowing, and your mom, and the cattle!

(11,797 posts)My friend took the photo. She lives in Glasgow and we were traveling together.
So the bridge is the Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous in Harry Potter (I guess-Ive never watched or read). It opened in 1901.
As for the castle on the hill...its Castle Tioram, from the 1300s. The other castle in the distance is Kilchurn, from the 1400s.
Its always a fun thing to turn a historian loose 😊

(777 posts)Took a "small bus" tour about 3 years ago. Our guide was a red-haired, bearded, kilted Scot with a degree is Scottish history. He even finagled an unscheduled distillery tour and tasting.
