GIMP tutorial recommendations?

I've been dabbling with photography for over 30 years now (I just realized that my current camera bag has holders for film canisters, maybe I owe myself a new bag) and decided it's time get more knowledgeable in post-processing. I currently have a Canon Xsi, shoot in RAW, and use Canon Digital Photo Professional for my jpg conversions (the latest version is quite good). My daughter wants me to do some glamor type shots that she can show off, but warned me that I've got to be able to make her teeth look whiter (girls !!!!). Anyway, I found the latest version of GIMP and must say that you can't beat the price!!! Now I need to get competent with it - can someone point me to a good tutorial that starts at the basics?

thanks

Has a few tutorials on its site and this is one of those times where Google is our friend.

As far as teeth whitening goes, there are a couple of ways to do it but by far the easiest way using Gimp is this one:

Also YouTube is also a good place to find tutorials for Gimp.
