Just ordered two new cameras
I ordered the Nikon D7500 with a bundled 16-80/2.8-4 lens. I've been pretty resistant towards getting the D7500 since it won't work with some of my manual focus lenses, but otherwise it comes the closest to what I'm looking for from their current lineup. I needed another lens like I need a hole in the head, but I'm hoping the Nikon 16-80 is going to be a good replacement for my Tamron 17-50/2.8 which I use more often than any of my others.
I also ordered a Hero 7 Black which I will mainly be using for aerial video purposes. This will replace an older Sony actioncam and I'm hoping it will be a significant upgrade. Since I mount the camera to the outside of the aircraft, battery and memory card life is a problem as you have to land in order to swap those things out. I'm hoping to extend my recording time at 4K/60fps to about 4 hours with a refuel battery and larger memory cards, but that may be a bit optimistic. I've seen mixed reviews on how well each of those things work in practice.
