The Moon is practically perfectly centered and yet the darkening shade of blue creates an optical illusion to make the moon appear off-centered. Quite impressive

I'm glad you could articulate that. I did all that, but was really unaware of just what I had precisely done. I knew what looked good to me and you have described it perfectly.

Thank you so much.

I love photography. I have had a number of cameras over the years, learned on my cannon ae-1. It was a great camera for beginners and I still get it out once in a while. Digital is superior of course but every now and again I use film just for the nostalgia and to maintain my development skills. I am just an amateur but I took private lessons while in college for fun. I got into it after my time in France during high school. I came back and had some amazing photographs. I know they were just lucky shots but I wanted to learn more so that I could always ensure a captured moment. There was this one photo of the Rouen Cathedral.

It was 5 in the morning and I was leaving the hotel to travel with my tour group to Saint Malo. I toured Normandy, Bretagne and Paris for about 10 days before my stay with the host family. Anyway, it was very foggy. I was standing alone admiring the quiet stillness and history surrounding me. Above the old row buildings was the cathedral spire hazy in the morning mist/fog. I took a picture because I thought it was beautiful. When I had it developed several months later I noticed that I managed something awesome. It wasnt my intent but the photo captured a ghostly outline of the spire in the background. It looked like construction. Nearer the buildings' brown and tan facade was shadowed with sunlight reflecting off the windows to create a light and dark contrast. To this day it's my absolute favorite picture and no lie, I took it with a disposable cvs 35mm camera. Pure luck.

What kills me is that I only had three cameras with me on that trip and so I only took a handful of pictures. Space was limited so I only had disposables. Still I came out some with great photos

Any chance you could scan it and then post it?

I've managed to learn how to do that with some of my old film photos and it makes me very happy.
