(149,699 posts)These are just lovely. Chicago is very photogenic!
The Union Station columns are especially fine! I love the reflections.
Thanks for sharing!

(3,085 posts)The columns are my favorite too. I shot them with a Samsung S7. Im finding that my phone os almost as good as my big Nikons. Not as versatile, but a very good camera indeed

(32,057 posts)My son was in Chicago last spring on business, and they had a group photo taken standing in front of the big bean.
I remember when I was little, tall buildings used to remind me of waffles.

(3,085 posts)because it resembles a giant chrome kidney bean. It's a people magnet and it draws crowds at all hours. It is truly a happy place.

(25,816 posts)I dream I'm in a station
waiting for my ride.
I imagine a fine train compartment
with a bed and leather seat.
But it may be a bus,
I'm not sure,
nothing comes.
The sunlight through the high station windows
makes shadow patterns on the floor.
Just like yesterday and the day before.
I wait.
The curved oaken benches are my bed.
I no longer worry about the madmen who roam at night.
The morning yawns,
people stir,
nothing comes.
