One of my faves. Reminds me of that old-time Bellodgia cologne. Mine are near ready to bloom fully. Can't wait. The caterpillars have arrived, so all is good here.

We are supposed to get a few days of rain, so next week will be spent doing a lot of weeding in the flower beds. Hopefully the butterflies will join me. I'll keep my camera by my side, just in case.

my best friend and I tried to make perfume out of milkweed flowers. We crushed them between rocks but couldn't figure out how to get the scent off the rocks. We were going to call it "Desert Rose" and wrote a theme song and everything. We even looked up "attar" in the dictionary!

I used to eat milkweed. You have to boil it several times to remove the latex. It is very high in Vitamin A.
