A moment of reflection

I just happened to see this sunset reflection a little while ago from my apartment. The steeple is on The First Baptist Church in Raleigh which has a history of integration dating from 1859 of blacks and whites. In 1868 the church began a tradition of calling black pastors.

It was funny: as I was scrolling down the photo, looking for the steeple...when I spotted it, it just looked so beautiful and ethereal. I hadn't known what I was looking for--until I saw it.

Thank you!

I had not seen this reflection before tonight.

This church is one block away from the State Capitol where Snowy and I walk each morning. It has stained glass windows that I'd love to see from the inside, but I'm not sure it's open to the public. On Easter morning the church was holding services in their next door building rather than the church itself.
