Old Newgate Prison

Old Newgate Prison is a historical site in East Granby CT. It was originally a copper mine, then a prison, a fort during the revolutionary war, a prison again, a copper mine again. It's been empty since the mid 1800s and is undergoing restoration right now. I took my son there as the first stop in our father-son photography project. I got my son a rebuilt Canon D20 from Ebay for his birthday. We are going to go to one or two places a month and each take pictures. Eventually we'll put them together in a photo book with the different perspectives. We could only shoot from the outside since the inside has not yet been reopened.

I love it when a parent can/will do such a think with a young one. Neither of you will forget it. You are bringing a bit of history and sharing your quest with us.
