This is a heavily photoshopped version of a photo I took as a practice pic for the eclipse.

I just wanted to play with it, so I copied the original file and went crazy. I liked what I saw and so here we are!

As opposed to very cool! I love it!

I'm in, too, with a shot of a forest fire that was developing in the Medoc region of Bordeaux when we were there in April. There were tanker planes
flying back and forth dropping water scooped from the river nearby as we were touring the Chateau Pontet Canet in Pauillac.

6. Oh thank you!

It's from a shoot I did when she asked for it in July of last year. For reasons I don't exactly know, and therefore can't explain, I barely am taking photos at this time.
Life is good and full and the time will come again for me to have the camera handy.
I think in this hiatus much subconscious observing is happening that hopefully will turn into photographs again. Without a doubt, really. I have taken photos since I was able to hold a camera.

There is a weirdness: I can't pull up my photo or mnhtnbb's when I open the submission thread. Yours comes right up. Mine and hers come up on my ipad, but not my laptop.

There is another weirdness: we are not getting submissions, and I suspect it's a trickily difficult theme, but when stretched in your mind, and with the leeway given by the hostess, surely folks will find entries.

Can you not see mine? Still able to post on DU using Photobucket because I paid for an upgrade last Fall.

I think someone needs to update the pinned thread about how to post photos on DU since the reference to using Photobucket for free now no longer applies.

16. My husband told me a story the other day he heard from someone who was in a car accident.

The person got out of his car and went up to the other car (which had caused the accident) to see if the driver was ok
and was met with a gun in his face and told to "get out of here". He did!

This was North Carolina.
