I love the textures especially, but the colors too.

Great title for it! Heh, I get the reference.

Lots of leaves, and they look healthy; still, no flowers after three years in the ground.

Welcome to the Photo Group.

My photography is finally beginning to flower (!) again after many years in the doldrums.

These days I shoot as respite and release. My wife is disabled and dying of cancer, and I'm her sole caregiver. So I use my photography both as a form of emotional recuperation and as a way to bring some of the outside world back indoors to her. The situation provides a great incentive to make photographs that are as healing as possible for both of us.

I wish it were under happier circumstances. My best wishes to you and your wife as you go through this. The Photo Group is one of the best on the board, in my opinion. You'll find many people here who will enjoy your images and offer support.

I'm Type II diabetic; these days I use photography to get me out of the house and into some exercise. I've messed with photography off and on since my teens, but my attempts to really learn the fundamentals has been sporadic at best. I did better with the iPhone 4s than with the Nikon.
