Anza-Borrego, looking toward Borrego Springs I notice some vertical banding in this one. The ISO was 2500.[img][/img]

Thanks. There are some amazing vistas up in the northeastern corner of the state.

Modoc County is up in the far northeastern part of California, and Anza-Borrego is in the very southern portion of the state.

I used a Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8 for the Modoc County and Yolo Bypass images/image, and a Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8 DX for the Anza-Borrego image. Both were on a Nikon D7100 body.

Intermittent rain and sun made for some pretty spectacular light; wish I had captured it better.
This winter I'm going to try to get up there before one of their ice storms. It leaves all of the sagebrush and junipers looking as if they've been spray painted with high-gloss, sparkly white.
