Crashplan online backup

has anyone used crashplan online backup. Im looking to back up my huge photography directory which is over 300gb. crashplan will send me a harddrive that i can fill with my pictures and send back to them to avoid the initial backup time. has anyone ever used thm?

The initial backup time was exactly what kept me from going to the cloud for backup. I have to say I have a Flickr account that I have slowly been trying to catch up with for online backup of photos. Have not succeeded yet!

im kind of anal about backups,having had hard drive failure in the past. right now I have a time machine backup as well as a cloned drive. Im looking at offsite for an additional layer of security

3. I have a question about online backups. Once it's out there, is it public domain, goes anywhere?

I've heard of people putting things on their online accounts for various things, who thought they were private, but then their images showed up elsewhere. Just curious, it's part of the reason I don't do much photo sharing online anymore.
